"We urge the Federal government to do all within its power to secure the release of all those still in captivity and return them to their parents. We pray for the Divine presence with these girls and for the manifestation of His power as in the days of Paul and Silas in the Book of Acts."

The Anglican Communion Synod President also called on the Federal government to tackle the issue of insecurity in the country and wondered why the government could easily contain the Biafran agitation but has not been able to deploy the same power to solve the Herdsmen crisis and that of Boko Haram.

The 3rd Session of the 4th Synod event of the church which is a 3 day programme has its theme as: "all things come from you and of your own we have given you." This the Synod President Rt Revd. Akinpelu Johnson said is a Clarion call for the members of the church to continue to give out of the generosity of heart for the building up of the church.
